Punjab police achieves another milestone to ensure the safety and security of general elections 2024. In this respect, Punjab Safe Cities Authorities, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) sing an accord for the monitoring of general elections going to be held on February 8, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar attended the accord ceremony. Under the agreement, more than 29 thousands cameras and night visions will be purchased at a cost of 1.35 billion rupees for the monitoring of general elections.
After the completion of election process, the cameras will be handed over to the Punjab Government.
On the occasion IGP said government and police were taking every step to ensure peaceful process of general elections.
