Singer Meesha Shafi Tuesday appeared in the sessions court where actor-cum-singer Ali Zafar’s lawyer Ali Raza Kazim cross-examined her regarding the defamation suit he had filed against the female singer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Ali Zafar had filed Rs1 billion defamation suit against Meesha Shafi for levelling ‘false’ allegations of sexual harassment. He claimed that the allegations tarnished his image in public and his family had been facing agony and pain.
Ali Zafar’s counsel asked many questions from the Meesha Shafi about their working together.
When asked why she chose Canada for her residency, Meesha replied, “It was my family’s unanimous decision.”
Lawyer Ali Raza Kazim asked Meesha Shafi about blackmailing allegations levelled by her former manager,
When asked about allegation post by Talia S Mirza to which she replied, “I can’t answer every allegation against her. If I do, then how could I take out time for my children and family?”
When asked why she did not opt for initiating legal action against Talia S Mirza, who wrote a public note on Facebook, she replied, “I don’t have time for this.”
Ali Zafar’s counsel asked, “Is it true that people on social media put false allegations just to irk others,” to which Meesha Shafi replied, “Yes, it can be possible.”
