Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen introduced the Money Bill 2021 in the Senate during the Tuesday session. Opposition members rallied and chanted slogans.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani forwarded the copy of the Bill to the relevant Standing Committee and sought the opinion of the members within three days.
The issue of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz's alleged audio leak regarding media control was also echoed in the session.
Leader of the treasury benches in Senate Dr Shehzad Waseem said that audio has been playing in the media since morning.

During the session, the opposition called for a boycott of the assembly on the issue of Reko Diq and identified the quorum three times. Finally, the chair adjourned the session.
Earlier, the house passed the Protection of Women in Workplace Harassment Amendment Bill 2021 and the National Commission for Rights of Children Amendment Bill unanimously.
