On-duty Army officer sues YouTuber Adil Raja in London

A senior officer of the Pakistan Army has filed a defamation case against a YouTuber in the British High Court on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

YouTuber Major retired Adil Farooq Raja has accused Brig Rashid Naseer of rigging the election against the PTI. He also held Gen (retired) Qamar Bajwa responsible for horse-trading.

Adil also accused the Brigadier of having secret meetings with Asif Zardari regarding the Punjab by-elections.

According to the court document, the YouTuber started the campaign against the on-duty army officer on June 14, 2022.

The campaign launched by the YouTuber seriously damaged the reputation of the serving Brigadier, the plaintiff's lawyers said.

Raja, who lives in self-exile in the United Kingdom, has confirmed the lawsuit filed against him

It is pertinent Adil Farooq reached London after going missing from Islamabad in April 2022. The information in his tweets and V-logs was provided by well-placed sources in the establishment and former military men, Adil Raja claimed.
