The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) requesting him not to allot any election symbols that are similar to its arrow symbol, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
The letter, written by the in-charge election cell of the PPP, Taj Haider, mentioned five symbols that could confuse the voters: pencil, ballpoint pen, pen, screwdriver and toothbrush.
The letter argued that these symbols may mislead the voters and cause them to mistakenly vote for other candidates. The PPP urged the CEC to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process by avoiding such similar symbols.
