Dilip Kumar’s condition improves

Bollywood iconic actor Dilip Kumar’s condition is improving.

His doctor said: “He is stable now and would be discharged from the hospital shortly”. He was admitted to Mumbai's PD Hinduja Hospital on Tuesday (June 29).

Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu shared an update on the veteran actor's health on Saturday and she said that he is "still in the ICU" but "stable.

The legendary film star 98-year-old Yousuf Khan (Dilip Kumar) was diagnosed by the doctors suffering from Bilateral Pleural Effusion.

His wife renowned actress Saira Banu said his Saab was complaining of having fluid in his lungs. According to the doctors, this illness is termed as the accumulation of fluids between the layers of the pleura around the lungs.

"Dilip Kumar Sahab's health is still stable.  He is still in ICU, we want to take him home but we are waiting for doctors' approval as they know his medical condition as soon as doctors allow, will take him home. He will not be discharged today. Need prayers of his fans, he will be back soon," Saira Banu told ANI.

A close family friend Faisal Farooqi, using Dilip Kumar’s Twitter account expressed his gratitude to a large number of the Actor’s well-wishers and admirers who wished him early recovery.

It may be recalled that the legendary star was earlier brought to the hospital on June 6 (Sunday) suffering breathlessness. At his age such attacks of this disease or normal but need immediate medical attention.

Saira Banu, had devoted her life to her husband ever since she was married to the all-time great actor who has his admirers across the world. He is a house-hold name in Pakistan, a country of his birthplace. He had visited Pakistan along with Saira Banu twice and travelled to Peshawar to see his ancestral house. He received tumultuous reception where ever he went during his brief stay on both the occasions.
