A volunteer of Edhi Foundation was abducted along with his ambulance from Larkana on Saturday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The Edhi driver, Imran Machhi, travelled to Nangreeja village in Khairpur District for transporting a corpse and on his way back to Larkana he was abducted along with his ambulance, said Haji Saleem Arain, Incharge Edhi Centre Larkana.

Haji Saleem Arain said unknown people have abducted the Edhi volunteer. “Imran took the corpse to Khairpur on Saturday evening but when he did come back well after midnight they got concerned and informed the police,” he added.

Haji Arain disclosed that a while ago the driver telephoned him and informed that he had been abducted. “We have passed on the information to the SSP Khairpur and DIG Sukkur,” he added.

Haji Arain appealed to police to recover the driver and the ambulance as soon as possible.
