Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed was disqualified from holding public office by the Chief Court on Tuesday for holding a fake degree, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Khalid Khurshid, who belongs to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was disqualified in the fake degree case.
With his disqualification, the PTI government in Gilgit Baltistan stands dissolved as well.
The PTI, which was in government at the Centre, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan is now completely removed from power across the country.
Earlier in the day, Opposition members in the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Assembly, in order to forestall possible dissolution of the assembly, submitted a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed.
Sources told 24News TV channel that nine members of the opposition submitted the motion.
On the other hand, sources disclosed, the chief minister was still consulting his aides for dissolution of the assembly.
