Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday visited the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) and expressed satisfaction over the provision of facilities there, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The CM visited the emergency ward, inquired after the patients and also inquired from them about the facilities being offered at the institute.
He particularly asked them about the bypass and primary angiography procedures.
The chief minister, on the occasion, ordered making the old emergency ward functional again, saying this would create more space for the heart patients.
He also inspected the arrangements made for cleanliness at the hospital. He also checked the record of patients.
CM Naqvi said these days he was visiting hospitals in order to ensure the provision of quality health facilities to people. “I am glad that treatment facilities being offered at the PIC have improved with the passage of time,” he said, and added, “Doctors and the paramedical staff are on duty and are looking after the patients.”
He said serving the ailing humanity was not a small service.
Provincial ministers Amir Mir, Mansoor Qadir, renowned cardiologist Dr. Furqad were also present on the occasion.
