On the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has removed 27 Grade-20 officers of the Inland Revenue and Customs Group from their posts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
After the approval of the Prime Minister, the notification to remove the officers from the posts in FBR is issued.
According to sources, FBR appointed 16 Inland Revenue officers to Chief Admin pool on intelligence report.
The officers were suspended for corruption and negligence in duties, sources said.
Three commissioners posted in the tax offices of Lahore were also suspended and sent to the admin pool.
FBR has also suspended Humira Maryam from Withholding Zone Regional Tax Office Lahore while Commissioner Zone-1 RTO Lahore Muhammad Naveed Akhtar was also sent as admin.
Apart from this, Commissioner Appeal-3 Naeem Babar was also removed from the post while names of officers Zahoor Ahmed, Tariq Ghani, Muhammad Ali and Abdul Qadir Sheikh are also included.
The services of officers posted in various cities including Khalid Ahmad Qureshi and Muhammad Naseer were also entrusted to the admin pool.
Pakistan Customs Grade 20 Collector Appeals Islamabad Dr. Akhtar Hussain has been removed from the post.
Muhammad Adnan Ikram Director Transit Trade Lahore was removed from the post while Eram Maqbool Aamir DG Law and Prosecution was removed from the post.
Naveed Iqbal Director Transit Trade Gwadar relieved of post while Ahsan Khan Collector Quetta was removed from the post.
Raza Khan has been relieved from the post of Collector Aid Judi-cation Karachi while Ambreen Tarar and Amir Rasheed Sheikh were removed from the posts.
Inland Revenue Grade 20 Commissioners Qazi Afzal and Naseer Janjua have been relieved of their posts while commissioners Mohammad Abid and Naveed Akhtar were removed from their posts.
Grade 20 Commissioners Fazli Malik, Naushirwan Khan and Razi Ur Rehman were removed from their posts while Asim Khattak and Zulqarnain were also removed from the posts.
Earlier, more than 12 officers of FBR grades 21 and 22 were removed from their posts on the orders of the Prime Minister.
