KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has reiterated his demand from the Centre for clearing the province’s arears and funds for tribespersons.
“We are not getting our share. Whenever we ask for our share, they say we are creating chaos,” the chief minister said while addressing the KP assembly session. He raised slogans in favour of the PTI founder too.
He added: “The federal government has not provided the funds promised for the tribal belt.
“The tribespersons are coming to us for their promised funds. If someone does not give me my share, it is my right to demand.
“Tribal people made sacrifices. How will peace be restored when the federal government is not giving money?
He said presenting the budget before the Centre is empowered in the constitution.
He said the KP budget was a public-friendly budget.
“I assure you that nothing will increase or decrease,” he said.
He said the federal government is all set to present the budget and the KP will be deprived of due share again.
However, he added, “If we are not given our right, there will be a reaction.”
He said the federal government did not respond to his letters and demands. “If the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa do not get their due rights, they will be compelled to take to the streets,” he maintained.
