The anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) of Punjab has claimed to have arrested the frontman of the former member of provincial Abdul Hai Dasti and Mian Alamdar Qureshi from Muzaffargarh, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
According to the sources, a special team of the anti-corruption team of Lahore circle launched a major operation in Muzaffargarh, as a result of which it arrested Zohaib Hameed, the frontman of two former members of the provincial assembly.
According to the ACE officials, the ex-adviser to the chief minister Sardar Abdul Hai Dasti received millions of rupees as a commission in various development projects during Usman Buzdar’s tenure.
The team arrested the accountant Zohaib Hameed in district council Muzaffargarh and taken to Lahore for investigation.
PTI leader and former member of the provincial assembly Mian Alamdar Qureshi is also being investigated for corruption of crores of rupees in the development works of the district council and local government.
A few days ago, the special anti-corruption team recovered Rs150 million from the house of Abdul Hai Dasti.
