A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Islamabad to Istanbul has been cancelled after a prolonged delay due to a technical fault.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, passengers aboard the PK-705 flight staged a strong protest in front of the PIA counter at Islamabad International Airport.
The Islamabad Airport Security forces had to intervene in the matter to calm down the angry passengers. The flight was supposed to fly from Islamabad Airport at 6:10 am today to Istanbul Airport.
Passengers exchanged words with the crew for being forced to wait in the aircraft for several hours and later they registered a strong protest. A PIA spokesperson said the flight was cancelled due to a prolonged technical glitch. arrangements were being made to send the passengers to Istanbul on the next flight, the official added.
