Blood pressure of PTI leader and newly-elected MNA Shehryar Khan Afridi suddenly shot up in the National Assembly on Sunday as the house elected a new prime minister, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A doctor was called in who after checkup advised the SIC lawmaker complete rest. He also prescribed some medicines for him.
Afridi, newly-elected member of National Assembly, arrived in Parliament to cast vote during the election of prime minister.
However during the session Shehryar Afridi complained that he was not feeling well. After his checkup, the doctor advised him few medicines to control his blood pressure and suggested complete rest.
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday became the country’s prime minister for the second time defeating his rival Omar Ayub.
Shehbaz secured 201 votes and became the 24th prime minister of Pakistan. His rival Omar Ayub Khan from the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) got 92 votes.
