Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplaces Kashmala Tariq has ordered for the removal of an official of Pemra for harassing a woman and imposed a fine worth Rs2 million on him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The ombudsperson also imposed a fine on another person worth Rs0.5 million.

Kashmala Tariq also directed the Pemra authorities to install cameras to control the harassment at the workplace and also asked them to form a committee to probe the incident.

A female employee brought harassment charges against Haji Adam who is director general of HR and administration department at Pemra.
