The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership has filed a request for registering an FIR of a gun attack on former price minister Imran Khan in Wazirabad, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
PTI leader Zubair Niazi along with lawyers reached Wazirabad City Police station. As the police station had an electricity breakdown, they started asking if the power cut was intentional or unintentional. However, they stayed at the police station till the power supply resumption.
During the march yesterday, the PTI chairman survived a shooting that his party leaders and supporters described as an assassination attempt.
One person died and several others sustained injuries in the incident, which triggered countrywide protests by the PTI activists. Video of the alleged attack shows Khan waving from an open-topped truck when shots rang out, sending his party members ducking for cover. The injured include Senator Faisal Javaid, Imran Ismael and Ahmad Chattha.
