‘Any attempt to undermine country’s security to be resisted’

Back-to-back terrorist attacks in the country in two days have strengthened the resolve of the country’s leaders that the terrorists will now be dealt with iron hand, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
President strongly condemns attacks in Gwadar, Mianwali
President Dr Arif Alvi has strongly condemned the attack on the convoy of Pakistan Army in Gwadar.
In a statement, Arif Alvi said terrorists are enemies of Pakistan and efforts will continue for their complete elimination.
He said we stand by the armed forces to completely eliminate the scourge of terrorism. He paid tributes to the martyrs.
Arif Alvi also denounced the attack on the training air base in Mianwali. He expressed satisfaction on the foiling of the terrorist attack.
PM Kakar vows unwavering resistance
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar says any attempt to undermine the country's security will meet with unwavering resistance.
In a tweet on Saturday, he said the valiant Pakistan Air Force has once again proven its mettle by thwarting a cowardly terrorist attack in Mianwali.
The Prime Minister said the nation stands with the armed forces and salutes their courage and resolve.
Zardari, Bilawal condemn Mianwali attack
Co-Chairman and Chairman of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto have condemned the terrorist attack on Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Training Airbase in Mianwali.
The PPP chairmen also paid tribute to security forces for foiling terrorist attack on Mianwali Training Airbase.
In their statement on Saturday, Zardari and Bilawal said that terrorists cannot demoralize the nation with their nefarious intentions.
They said that Pakistan People's Party has fought terrorism and extremism always.
For the complete elimination of terrorism, the ideology of extremism, hatred and division in the country has to be eliminated, they concluded.

NA speaker condemns attack on PAF base
National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has condemned the terrorist attack on a training airbase of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in Mianwali.
The NA Speaker, in a statement issued here on Saturday, paid tribute to the security forces for thwarting the terrorist attack on the PAF training air base. “Terrorists are resorting to cowardly acts to achieve their nefarious goals,” said the NA Speaker.
He said our armed forces are committed to completing the eradication of terrorism, adding that such acts of terrorists cannot shake the spirit of security forces.
Ashraf said the entire nation stands with the security forces in the war against terrorism.
