Crackdown against illegal Afghans continues in Karachi, Rawalpindi, 117 detained

Following the federal government’s policy, crackdown against illegal migrants continued across the country including Rawalpindi on fourth day of action, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to administration the detained foreigners were shifted to Khayaban Sir Syed Holding Centers in Rawalpindi.

On the third day, more than 117 foreigners from the district and tehsils were shifted to the camp, said administration.

“Another 17 illegal Afghan migrants were sent to Afghanistan from Torkham border”, said Rawalpindi admin.

They said so far 50 people from Rawalpindi camp have been sent to Afghanistan for not having any kind of identification documents.

Officials said that accommodation and health facilities are also being provided in holding centers for women and children. They said implementation of the government policy regarding foreigners including illegally residing Afghans continues.
