A Lahore court has indicted and framed charges against Mufti Aziz and his five sons in the alleged rape of a seminary student, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court has summoned the witnesses in the next hearing.

Judicial Magistrate Cantt Rana Rashid Ali adjourned the case hearing till October 18.

Police brought and presented Mufti Aziz before the court.

Pertinent to note that student Saleem registered an FIR against his principal of seminary Mufti Aziz in Police Station North.

The student had said Mufti Aziz sexually abused him, while the cleric's sons started blackmailing and threatening to kill him. "If justice is not done, I will commit suicide," the survivor had said in the FIR.

Earlier the police said that accused Mufti Aziz "confessed to his crime during interrogation".
