WhatsApp is set to be blocked on millions of phones in the coming weeks after a major software update.
Older Android and Apple phone users have been warned about the update to the messaging app from November 1, which will mean the app will not run on certain models.
Operating systems will need to be updated by the owners of various other models of smartphone in the coming weeks if they wish to keep the app running.
Every year, operating systems change, and that means the popular messaging app WhatsApp is no longer able to be used by some running older versions. Over 40 different phones are affected by the changes this time.
