Two children died in a road accident near Nishtar Colony, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

The deceased were identified as three-year-old Mubashera Maryam and her sister two month-old Iman Fatima, rescue officials said

The parents of the deceased, 30-year-old Samra, and her husband Atiq, were given first aid on the spot, rescuers added.

The incident occurred due to the negligence of car driver Moeez and according to police, the accused has been arrested.

Atiq was riding a motorcycle with his family when the car hit his two-wheeler that fell into a nullah.

The lawmen said the investigation is underway.
