Isthakam Pakistan Party (IPP) Central Information Secretary Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the party decided to challenge the new lists of constituencies in court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

She was addressing a press conference on Wednesday along with Dr Murad Ras, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Mian Khalid Mehmood and others.

She said lists of new constituencies have been displayed but no political party has been taken into confidence over the matter.

It is constitutionally necessary to hold elections within 90 days after the final lists of constituencies are published, she said.

“We will call for elections only after the final lists of constituencies are displayed,” she added.

She said that IPP is going to start people-friendly politics and in this regard, they are going to show political strength in Jhang on October 13.

The party leadership has decided that the workers' convention and election campaign are being launched and in this regard, committees are being formed at all levels.

She said the party also decided in the Central Executive Committee meeting on inflation, petroleum products, and electricity prices that they will not leave the people alone.

She said the Apex Committee's decision that those residing illegally in Pakistan must leave because the large number of illegal residents does not allow peace in Pakistan.

The party welcomes the decision to take action against mafias, she added.
