The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned two senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders for questioning in connection with assets beyond means cases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday, quoting its sources.
Also issuing last warning for appearance to them, the NAB Lahore has ordered MNA Javed Latif to appear before the Bureau on September 9 and Barjees Tahir to appear on September 10.
According to the sources, Javed Latif has been accused of accumulating Rs500 million assets beyond his income and Barjees Tahir of Rs300 million assets.
The sources said after questioning the NAB will consider upgrading the investigation into a reference against Javed Latif. The approval for turning the inquiry against Barjees Tahir into an investigation will also be discussed, the sources added.
The NAB chairman will give the final approval regarding upgrading the cases against the two PML-N leaders.
