In view of hike in petrol price and increasing expenditures, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has cut down monthly free consumption of fuel allowed to its officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources in the CDA told 24News that the Authority had reduced the fuel consumption by its chairman from 600 liters to 400 liters, while by members of its Board from 400 liters to 300 liters.
Similarly, now directors and the director general would only be allowed 175 liters of free petrol, they disclosed.
Likewise, other CDA officials will be allowed only 150 liters of free petrol, they added.
However, the sources informed that no cut had been introduced in the petrol consumed by operational vehicles.
The CDA officials, they said, had expressed the optimism that fuel cut would help reduce the expenditures.
