Famous Pakistani actress Sonya Hussyn called out new actors in the Pakistani showbiz industry to stop making excuses if they not getting work in the entertainment industry and face struggles for the success they hope for.

Sonya appeared as a guest on Ushna Shah’s show ‘After Hours’ on channel 365 and during the conversation, she discussed how she has seen other actors making excuses when they are not getting their desired success.

She advised aspiring actors to "focus on hard work rather than blaming external factors".

She highlighted that some people say that they did not get good work due to their complexion or nepotism but this is not how it is in the industry.

“Hard work will eventually pay off”, she added.

Hussyn went on to say that no such thing happened, adding that while favoritism “exists to an extent” if an individual was good at their craft no force could hold them back.

It is important to note that, previously, Popular Pakistani actress Saboor Aly has pointed out that the Gora ‘white’ complexion exists in the industry and you will get a lead role if you are white while a girl like her will have to struggle. She also added that this is the reason whitening injections are so much in demand these days.

Saboor discussed skin tone issues and when asked about whitening injections, Aly humorously said, "I would have been featured in every drama and turned completely white by now."
