The Economic Coordination Committee of the federal cabinet has given its approval to import animals and their products keeping in mind the World Health Organization guidelines, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar held in Islamabad on Wednesday also approved a supplementary grant of Rs 87m in favour of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) for payment of taxes and duties.
The forum approved a technical supplementary grant of RS 300m in favour of the Ministry of Housing and Works for the repair and maintenance of Public buildings.
The ECC deferred a summary of import policy amendments relating to used auto lubes. It also postponed the revised budget of the National Telecommunication Corporation.
Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir Khan, Minister for Industries Murtaza Mahmud, Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar, MNA Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister of State for Finance Dr. Aisha Ghous Pasha, Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Masood Malik and others participated in the meeting.
