A senior leader of Awami National Party (ANP) was found murdered, said the police in Quetta on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Malik Ubaidullah Kasi, a member of ANP’s Central Committee, was found murdered in Pishin, said the police.
The Quetta police further said that Ubaidullah Kasi was abducted from a Kuchlak area on June 26 last and now his body was found from the Saranan area of Pishin.
Earlier, the ANP and the family members of kidnapped Ubaidullah Kasi had expressed deep concerns and appealed to the concerned authorities to play their effective role in the recovery of Kasi. A protest camp had been set up in Kuchlak area against the aduction, what ANP had called the failure of the government to recover Kasi.
Ubaidullah Kasi was kidnapped on June 26 by unknown armed men from Killi Kateer on the outskirts of Quetta.
According to Kasi’s family, Kasi was kidnapped from Kuchlak. Following the incident, ANP activists and the family members of Kasi staged a protest demonstration on Quetta-Chaman highway, blocked the highway.
