The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), as a coalition partner of the government, has advised dissolving the assemblies and calling for new elections instead of taking up ministries, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.

According to a report by a private TV channel, PPP Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari stated that if the government faces any threats, they should share them with the PPP.

He emphasised that the PPP is ready to strengthen the government in parliament, but the government must deliver results.

Nayyar Hussain Bukhari suggested that if the government feels threatened, it should dissolve the assemblies and hold new elections.

He also mentioned that President Asif Ali Zardari has repeatedly said that discussions are necessary to prevent the system from derailing, which would harm the country.

The PPP leader mentioned that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former premier Imran Khan is not trustworthy.

It is worth mentioning that previously, PPP Senator Taj Haider expressed disappointment with the federal government.

Last month, when the federal government announced its intention to approach the Supreme Court to ban PTI, many PPP leaders criticized and opposed the decision.
