The Department f Neurology King Edward Medical University held inaugural ceremony of the 21st International Neurology Update Conference and the 2nd Parkinson's disease and Movement disorders conference.

The event was held in collaboration with Pakistan Society of Neurology PSN (PSN), Movement Disorder Society of Neurology (MDSP ) and Pakistan International Neuroscience Society (PINS).

Prof Ahsan Numan chaired the mooting and KEMU VC Prof Khalid Masood Gondal graced the occasion as chief guest. 

Eminent neurologists from all over the country were present  including Prof Nasrullah, Prof Naeem Kasuri, Prof Sarwar Siddiqui, Prof Ather Javed, Prof Mohsin Zaheer and many others.

Prof Khalid Masood Gondal praised the faculty of  Neurology and encouraged continuing educational and research activities. He mentioned post graduate programs in stroke medicine, interventional neurology and epilepsy are need of time.

He congratulated the organising team for arranging a successful conference. The conference also  included lectures from national as well as  international guest speakers. The event concluded with distribution of shields amongst the guest speakers and the organisers, followed by a group photograph and dinner.
