Alastair Richards of New Zealand has won the first Gladiators' Virtual Scrabble World Championship by defeating Australia’s David Elder in the final, reported 24NewsHD TV on Sunday.
The Virtual World Championship was organized by the Scrabble Association of Pakistan. Alastair Richards defeated David Elder of Australia by 4-3 games in the exciting final.
At the end of the six games, the match between the two players was levelled by 3-3. In the seventh and final game, Alastair Richards won the title with a 13-point lead. The Scrabble Association of Pakistan hosted the Virtual Championship in a spectacular way. The winner, Alastair Richards, received €3,500, while the runner-up received €1,500.
