NAB, Justice Javed Iqbal to blame for economic jam in country: Khaqan

Former PM terms political victimization through bogus cases was the hall mark of Bureau and its former chairman

Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has severely criticized National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and its former chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal and termed him responsible for the economic crisis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

While talking to media, Abbasi said that NAB and Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal caused great harm for the country. He added that NAB played a vital role in ruining the condition of the country. He said that investors are in fear due to NAB laws and they are hesitating in doing invest in the country. 

While lashing out at NAB and its former chief Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal, he said that several bogus cases were filed against the leadership of PML-N and an environment of political victimization was created for them. He termed the NAB responsible for the current economic crisis of the country.

LNG reference adjourned

An accountability court in Islamabad on Monday adjourning the hearing on LNG reference against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others without holding any proceedings.

The hearing was adjourned to December 20 after accountability judge was not available today to preside the proceedings.

AC judge Azam Khan’s term of office has been completed and a new appointment is being awaited.
