Fawad Ch asks Maryam to seek plea bargain before leaving country

February 5, 2020 11:50 PM

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that if Maryam Nawaz Sharif wanted to travel abroad then she should first seek a plea bargain.

Fawad Chaudhry while praying for the health of the former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who is under treatment in London, said that the way the entire Sharif family has done, it seems that they had a plan to escape from the country.

“The dates submitted in the courts from the family for the return have exceeded but neither Nawaz Sharif nor Mian Shehbaz Sharif is coming back,” he said adding that it seems that there are two laws operational in the country.

While lamenting the role of courts in allowing Nawaz’s departure from the country, Fawad Chaudhry said that he had raised his voice against allowing the two to leave the country.

“It has also irked our voters and supporters who are asking questions as to why those under the accountability radar are allowed to travel abroad,” he said.

Allow Maryam to visit Nawaz on humanitarian grounds: Shehbaz

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that Nawaz Sharif’s health situation is still critical and they have to change the treatment procedures twice owing to the absence of his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

He said Maryam Nawaz should have been with Nawaz Sharif at that moment but she is not allowed to travel abroad to meet her ailing father. “Nawaz’ current health condition is critical owing to several diseases faced by him,” he said in a statement in London.

“Nawaz has already undergone open-heart surgeries twice and during ongoing treatment at Royal Brompton Hospital he was diagnosed with severe contractions in his veins leading to heart,” he said, adding a large part of his heart remained affected from it.

Shehbaz said Nawaz was in jail when Kulsoom Nawaz died battling cancer bringing a negative impact of it on his health. “It was Maryam Nawaz who remained a source of courage for the PML-N leader at that time but it is unfortunate that she is not allowed to visit her ailing father at this critical juncture,” he said.
