Shahid Afridi who is known for his flamboyant attitude on and off the field has a very soft heart for his daughters.

Nick-named Boom Boom for his exploits with the willow in the game of cricket, Afridi off and on shares his affection for his daughters on social media. According to him, his daughters are the most wonderful gift of Allah in his life.

He has posted an adorable video of his youngest daughter Arwa who just has learned how to walk on Instagram to share the joy of a father with his fans.

“Overjoyed to see my little princess, she has started walking. May Allah bless her always! An important day for me as I continue to receive love and recognition in the USA. Thank you all!”

During a post earlier, he said he didn't get to spend much time his my other daughters especially when they were growing up, and now feel blessed that he has the time to see Arwa grow.

Afridi’s popularity is not confined just to the traditional cricket playing nations. Even in the United States of America where cricket is not that popular, February 5 is celebrated as Shahid Afridi Day in the city of Port Arthur, Texas.

Touched by this gesture, Afridi took to his official Instagram account in 2018 to thank the mayor of Port Arthur for the honour which was bestowed upon him back in 2014.
