The operation to demolish the 14-storey Nasla Tower on the orders of Supreme Court completed on Saturday on Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal, which took 69 days for the district administration to bring the residential building down, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Out of the total 1,121 square yards, only 760 square yards of the land was lawful. As the builder, in collaboration with Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and other government agencies, took control of the land of 341 square yards.

Meanwhile, the District and Sessions Judge East extended the interim bail of the accused in the case related to illegal construction of Nasla Tower and ordered to submit final challan to the investigating officer.

Expressing annoyance, the court granted another ten days for the purpose. The court also ordered to submit final challan at the next hearing.

It is pertinent to mention that the Supreme Court had ordered the demolition of the 14-storey residential building on October 25 last year, which was constructed at Service Road through illegal occupation.

The Supreme Court had handed over 760 square yards of the land of Nasla Tower to Karachi administration for making payments to allottees.
