Flight schedule at Lahore Airport reset

The flight schedule at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport was reset on Saturday morning after the runway was shut down due to the dense fog in the area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The thick clouds of fog swallowed the Lahore Airport reducing the visibility to just 50 metres at the runway, prompting its closure.

A flight IR-816 coming from the Iranian city of Mashhad was not allowed to land and the pilot after hovering over the airport for some time turned the plane back to Mashhad.

Flight PK-186 coming from Sharjah to Lahore was ordered to divert towards Karachi.

Flight J-9501 coming to Lahore from Kuwait was rescheduled and will now touch down five hours late.

Emirates flight EK-624 coming to Lahore from Dubai was also rescheduled and will now land at Lahore Airport three hours late.

Timing of flight TK-714 coming to Lahore from Istanbul was also changed as it was also facing a delay of six hours.

British Airways flight BA-259 coming from London to Lahore was also facing a delay of three hours.
