An official of the Bomb Disposal Squad died while another received injuries while defusing an explosive device in Lower Dir on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.   

According to rescue sources, the official who laid his life down while performing his duty has been identified as Sabaz Ali. They were trying to defuse an explosive device in the Shagokash area when it went off and damaged them.

The dead body and injured  were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital Timergara. A large number of police officials also reached the hospital.  The blast was so powerful that it was heard in far-off areas of the district.
