FIA creates 584 posts for Counter Finance Terrorism, Anti-Money Laundering

For the effective suppression of anti-money laundering (AML) and financing for terrorism (FT), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has created 584 new posts.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the FIA has established a new directorate and will induct 186 officers and 398 other staff.

The channel reported that the Establishment Division has released orders for new posts for FIA Counter-Terrorism Wing (CTW).

The Interior Ministry had applied for a total of 751 new posts for both the sectors but the Establishment Division Management Services Wing issued orders for 584 new posts only.

 As per the approval, a total of 288 vacancies for AML and CFT, and other 296 vacancies for the CTW have been fixed from the Establishment Division.

The new posts include 5 Additional Directors, 8 Deputy Directors and 4 Deputy Directors, 42 Assistant Directors of Investigation and Legal, 56 Inspectors of Investigation, 71 Sub-Inspectors, and 51 ASIs.

As many as 347 new posts are included Head Constables, Superintendent, Stenographer, Assistant, and UDC. Other vacancies included LDC, Deputy Courier, Dispatch Rider and Sweepers.

After the recruitment of new posts, AML and CFT office setup will be established across the country.
