A distressing incident of religious prejudice unfolded in Sheffield, England, where Hindu extremists attacked a British Pakistani-owned restaurant.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the group vandalised the establishment and harassed the staff of the restaurant.

The restaurant owner, Rahimullah Khan, revealed that the attackers were Indian nationals who appeared to be intoxicated.

After dining, they caused a commotion at the counter, falsely accusing the restaurant of mixing beef with mutton.

“They were shouting baseless accusations. The menu doesn’t even include beef,” Rahimullah Khan stated.

“The intoxicated individuals caused extensive damage to glass panels and other items, and even physically assaulted the staff.”

Following the altercation, British police swiftly intervened, arresting the suspects.

Authorities are now conducting an investigation into the incident, aiming to determine the full extent of the damages and motives behind the attack.

The Sheffield community has condemned the act, emphasising the need to protect minority-owned businesses from such prejudiced behaviour.
