The PTI Vice-Chairman said, “PTI has made tangible progress in its manifesto commitments and will facilitate people of South Punjab at their doorstep.”
The federal government had already notified transfers and postings and posted Zahid Akhtar Khan to southern Punjab as additional chief secretary and Inam Ghani as the additional inspector general of police.
Qureshi said last month that a sum of Rs3.5 billion was allocated for the purpose of a separate secretariat for the southern part of the province so that public problems could be fixed at the earliest.
SOUTH PUNJAB SECRETARIAT
The Punjab government had budgeted Rs1.50 billion for the establishment of South Punjab Secretariat.
The Additional Chief Secretary and Additional Inspector General (IGP) and 16 special secretaries of various departments have been transferred in the South Punjab Secretariat.
