Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Rana Tanveer while strongly condemning the government’s step to suspend the licence of 24NewsHD TV channel said on Sunday that the TV channel is being punished for treading the path of truth.

In a statement, Rana Tanveer said any channel who speaks the truth is being stifled. “The government has been targeting the media for two years as it did not like to hear the trust,” the PAC chairman maintained.

Rana Tanveer said 24News channel is a victim of revenge. He, while strongly condemning the suspension of 24News channel’s licence demanded immediate restoration of it.
