The director general of Inter Services Public Relations has paid tribute to Captain Karnal Sher Khan (Nishan-e-Haider) as the nation commemorates the 22nd anniversary of Kargil War hero's martyrdom, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

In his message, the ISPR DG said the Kargil war hero wrote the history by his blood. His message reads: "This son of the soil demonstrated unprecedented valour and bravery to protect the motherland. Such heroes are our pride."

The nation remembered Captain Karnal Sher Shaheed and Lalak Jan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) in defending the motherland in the Kargil War. People took to the social media to pay homage to the heroes.
