The wife of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former minister of state Abid Sher Ali passed away in Faisalabad on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources in Abid Sher Ali’s family told 24News that PML-N leader’s wife, who was under treatment at National Hospital, had died due to a heart attack.
They said doctors tried hard to save her life but in vain.
They further said that announcement of her funeral prayers would be made later while consultations were underway whether Abid, who is currently staying in the UK along with the former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, should return to attend his wife’s funeral.
The deceased had also undergone an angiography test at Lahore’s Ittefaq Hospital a couple of days ago.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz in a tweet condoled the sad demise of Abid Sher Ali's wife. She said, "Abid Sher Ali lost his wife today. Very sudden & tragic death. May she dwells in Allah’s mercy & blessings. May Allah grant the family sabar to bear this huge loss. Ameen. Heart goes out to you."
