The Islamabad High Court Tuesday granted 14 days protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan in the Quetta lawyer murder case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb of the Islamabad High Court heard the case.

During the proceeding, the court granted PTI Chairman's request for a 14-day security bail, ensuring his temporary freedom until the case progresses. As part of the order, the PTI Chairman has been directed to appear before the relevant court within the stipulated period.

Amidst the courtroom discussions, the topic veered towards the weather in Quetta, and Chief Justice Amir Farooq inquired about the current climate. Latif Khosa, a prominent advocate present at the hearing, expressed satisfaction, describing the weather as "very good" in Quetta.

During the legal proceedings, the court also delved into the status of another case pending before the Supreme Court. Latif Khosa, representing the expulsion case petition in the highest court, provided insights into the matter, prompting further inquiry.

Amidst the courtroom exchanges, questions were raised regarding the Chairman PTI's relentless efforts in his political pursuits and appearing before the courts.

In response, the Khan stated that his stamina was unwavering and that he had no intentions of slowing down.

Regarding the relationship between the PTI Chairman and the establishment, he clarified that there were currently no negotiations or contacts in that regard.

In terms of the bail approval, Khan was required to provide 50,000 surety bonds, which were accepted by the court to secure his bail.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq expressed deep admiration for Latif Khosa, mentioning their long-standing association since 1993 when he started practicing law. The Chief Justice praised Khosa's legal expertise and recalled their earlier days, indicating that both have come a long way since then.

CJ Amir said he was very much impressed the way Khosa has maintained himself as he was getting old while Khosa is in same spirits as he was when he (CJ Amir) joined the legal fraternity as a lawyer.
