Another miscreant involved in the attack on Jinnah House, Lahore confessed to carrying out the vandalism on May 9 due to the provocative speeches of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan against the Pakistan Army, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The accused was identified as Ali Raza, and he had come from Okara to take part in the vandalism and arson at Jinnah House, Lahore.
The accused, during interrogation, said that the speeches of the PTI chairman were the reason behind the attack.
He stated that on May 9, when the PTI chairman was arrested, he, along with the PTI leaders including Hassaan Niazi, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhary and others, became part of the attack on Jinnah House according to a pre-arranged plan devised in Zaman Park.
“Imran Khan’s speeches against the army inspired us to do all this and become part of the vandalism and arson,” he stated.
