The Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a loan of 250 million dollars for Pakistan, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, an amount of 250 million dollars will be provided by the Asian Development Bank to help the government in sustainable investment in infrastructure.
According to the statement issued by the Bank, ADB is supporting the reforms of the government of Pakistan. Attracting private investment through public-private partnerships will help the government fill the gap in infrastructure projects in the public sector.
As per the statement, the ADB is promoting the Public-Private Partnership Program to implement government policies for economic development, which is part of the Asian Development Bank's Government Management Program.
On the occasion of the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank last month, ADB's country director for Pakistan Yong Yee said that the assistance of the Asian Development Bank to Pakistan is possible only after getting a clean chit from the IMF.
