Following the meteoric rise of the film 'Laapataa Ladies,' a wave of intrigue swept through the masses regarding the rapport shared by the leading actors, Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Shrivastava.
As Pratibha and Sparsh were frequently seen together, whether it was for making reels or attending promotions or premiers, a strong bond between the duo was evident. This led to speculation about a romantic connection between them.
During an AMA session on Netflix's Instagram account, an anonymous user asked the most obvious question to Pratiba and Sparsh. The question was:
‘Are you both dating in real life?’
Pratibha's response was straightforward, 'Are we? Of course not.' Sparsh, in his playful manner, added, 'Yaar, ek ladka aur ladki sirf dost bhi ho sakte hai.' As he answered, he handed over a tiny yellow flower to Pratibha. The duo then attempted to make a heart with their hands, but they miserably failed to make one.
Another user questioned the two actors about whether their on-screen characters, ‘Jaya’ and ‘Deepak’, would end up together in an alternate universe. Pratibha affirmed that their on-screen characters could be best friends. Then, Sparsh mentioned that this question should be asked to Kiran Rao, so that she could weave a story around their respective characters.
