The new Gwadar International Airport has reached a significant milestone in its development with the successful completion of flight calibration and flight procedure design, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.
This milestone was marked by the Civil Aviation Authority's Celebration aircraft, which successfully landed on the new runway, greeted by a traditional water cannon salute from the Rescue and Fire Fighting Services.
This achievement results from the collaborative efforts of Chinese and Pakistani project teams, underscoring the strong partnership between the two nations. The airport is on track to be completed and operational by the fourth quarter of this year.
The completion of the new Gwadar International Airport is expected to spur significant development in Gwadar and its surrounding areas, enhancing connectivity and economic growth in the region.
