Shalimar Police Station Lahore Sunday claimed to have arrested an extortionist Akram alias Kala Thug, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the police official, Kala Thug was wanted in 35 various cases of extortion, robbery, and fraud registered in different cities.  

 SP Civil Lines Sarfraz Virk said the accused has been involved in running an intra-city extortion racket. He said that Rs 2 lakh cash was recovered from the accused. 

A case has been registered against the suspect and handed him over to the investigation wing for further probe, SP added.
