After Islamabad Police went to former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore to arrest him, their bosses back in the federal capital went into a huddle to discuss Imran’s post-arrest scenario, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The police high-ups also discussed the arrangements to take Imran to Islamabad district courts after bringing him from Lahore to Islamabad.
The inspector general of police (IGP), Islamabad ordered the SSP Operations to ensure the security of the district courts. “All CCTV cameras installed at the courts should be functional at the time of Imran’s appearance,” he directed.
On the other hand, police in the federal capital have been ordered to remain on its toes to deal with possible protest over Imran’s arrest.
The Punjab Police will escort the Islamabad Police personnel to the federal capital.
