New Zealand have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the fourth ODI of the five-match series against Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The match is being played between the two teams at National Cricket Stadium in Karachi.

The greenshirts have taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series, and they now aim at a whitewash. They had registered their first ODI series win over New Zealand in 12 years with a hard-fought 26-run victory in the third match.

The greenshirts have a golden opportunity to rank first in the International Cricket Council ODI ranking for the first time. For that purpose, they will have to win the series by 5-0 while the fifth match between the two teams will be played on Sunday next.

Pakistan, who have already clinched an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series, were forced to leave out Mohammad Nawaz after he injured a finger in the third match on Wednesday.

Also out are Imam-ul-Haq, Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafique and Naseem Shah.

They are replaced by Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Haris, Haris Rauf and Usama Mir.

New Zealand made three changes with James Neesham, Ben Lister and Blair Tickner coming in for Adam Milne, Henry Shipley and Henry Nicholls.

Lister, a 27-year-old left-arm pacer, is making his ODI debut.

The final match is on Sunday, also in Karachi.

The commandos of the Special Security Unit (SSU) of Sindh police have taken control of the security of the National Cricket Stadium, Karachi.

A total of 1,000 SSU commandos, including lady commandos, have been deployed among the 6,500 police officials in and outside the stadium.

Both the teams were brought to the stadium under tight security.

The road leading from Hasan Square to the stadium will be closed for traffic. The road leading to the stadium from Dalmia Road, New Town and Karsaz will remain open for traffic.
